21-02-12: WMS Gaming has launched a new social game, titled Lucky Cruise. It is a collaboration with Large Animal Games.
"We joined forces with Large Animal Games almost a year ago as part of our initiatives to prove how WMS slot content can be 'socialized' to attract new audiences for WMS slot content at our land-based customers' casinos and to partner with casino operators seeking to enter the social casino space," said Orrin J. Edidin, president of WMS.
The game is available on Facebook and sees players participating in games, with the help of friends, to collect luck and power the ship.
"Lucky Cruise offers instant recognition and player-appeal to fans of WMS' leading game content, but the strength of the design is its appeal to social game audiences who are not necessarily slot players," said Wade Tinney, chief executive officer of Large Animal Games. "Our play mechanics go far beyond the one-dimensional nature of other Facebook slot content, transforming passive and solitary play into an active, strategic and social experience involving a suite of games. We are already seeing this broad appeal to online players as Lucky Cruise is one of the most successful games we have launched to date."
