About GetMinted.com:

Get Minted Casino has been operating since 2003 and since then it has drawn thousands of players to its games. Owned by Cashcade, the company behind the successful UK based Foxy Bingo, Get Minted offers players over 60 casino games. Given that the company has had 7 years to expand this library, this number doesn't sound particularly competitive with other gambling sites. But it's quality that matters and the company mandate is clear and simple- a straight forward casino site with a friendly atmosphere.

Promotions:

Get Minted has an average selection of promotions categorised into a welcome bonus, competitions and tournaments, loyalty points and the VIP club. Unfortunately this doesn't really add up to much for players. The welcome bonus is, in particular, quite limited; rather than providing additional credit for playing anywhere on the website, it is restricted to slots. The upside is that you get 100% of your deposit in the form of a slots bonus. Bizarrely, at the time of writing Get Minted provides a calculator to help players figure out what 100% of their deposit will be. Coupled with an extensive chart showing how £5 will equate to £5 and so on, this feels strange and rather unnecessary. In any case, players have to wager 20 times their bonus to unlock it for withdrawal.

Loyalty points are also available and are provided based on how much you wager in the casino. For every £100 you wager, around 10 points will be given to you (rates differ from game to game). A point equates to 1 pence of real money. While a nice system, this doesn't really compensate for the otherwise disappointing promotions.

Casino:

The Get Minted webpage itself is predominantly red and actually borders on being bland. You're in no danger of being overwhelmed with cluttered adverts here and the site is, to its credit, extremely easy to navigate. A sparse menu bar will link you to registration, promotions and help.

Registration is fairly rudimentary and it shouldn't take more than a minute or two. A couple of confirmations are required; your phone number and email are asked for twice, you'll also need to provide a security question. Once you're through this you'll be ready to get started. The registration popup displays a link to deposit funds but you can get around to this later if you'd prefer.

Back to the main window and you'll find the site has undergone a subtle change during your registration. It looks a little busier now that you're inside but it's still rather basic. Main game categories are listed along the top and more fully packed lists are displayed below. A complete index is also available if desired. The presentation of the lobby is acceptable, if unexciting, and you'll find a reasonable collection of games.

Games function in popups and no download is necessary. The in game presentation is decent and game guides are provided in clearly accessible links. One niggling issue is that the option to play for fun is completely non-existent if you're already logged in. To try a few games out you'll have to log out and then head back in to the games. This is a frustration for those who don't like diving in blind. Sadly no mobile option is available for Get Minted games. The software here is provided by WagerWorks.

Poker:

A wide selection of poker variants is available through the casino but not as a separate section of the site. The poker offering is just another set of games in the casino itself so don't expect anything that would compete with a poker specialist website. That said, the interface is professional and the poker games are fun to play. They also receive the same guide treatment as the rest of the games.

Payment Options:

Things plummet downhill as soon as you take a look at the deposit options available to you. Payment methods are limited to a handful of cards, Neteller and Moneybookers. In fairness, the basic cards you'd expect to be optional are there; Visa, MasterCard, Maestro- all viable choices. But this selection is definitely one of the smallest out there and you might find that your preferred method isn't on the list. For card users, though, Get Minted should provide. Accepted currencies include the pound, dollar and euro.

Conclusion:

Get Minted has most of the basic features you'd want to have in an online casino. It has a good selection of games, some promotions and an easily navigated interface. Sadly none of this really stands out on Get Minted and the site feels dull when compared to some other options out there. The promotions lack appeal and the game lobbies are drab.

The help service is more impressive, with a 24 hour team available and a set of email addresses for individual problems. The team should deal with issues within 2 hours- a pretty good service. Get Minted has all of the fundamental necessities of a good gambling site; it just needs to spice things up with some good promotions and a bit more fun. It's worth a look but it might not have what it takes to keep your attention.
